Buy LR44 batteries with these
Both thermometers work as expected but this happened after I changed the batteries in them (luckily I had LR44 batteries). I'm a little disappointed that there was no insulating strip to keep the batteries fresh. If you don't have them, I'd recommend keeping LR44 batteries on hand if you want to use them right away.
