I hope I can help everyone and I hope the company doesn't appreciate the returns. You don't have to cut the tube to adjust the length of the post. What you need to do is cut off one of the soft plastic plugs attached to the end of the thinnest tube. 1.) Cut the end cap just enough to insert into the spring. You insert the cap by pushing it towards the spring. The lid should look like it got stuck in the spring. (see photo) 2.) Then insert the thin tube into the spring and into the cap. (see photo) 3.) Now you can adjust the length. Hold the spring in one hand and the thin tube in the other, and twist to adjust the length (like a corkscrew). original directions. Ready! enjoy your attitude.
