This is no longer Corning's Pyrex with borosilicate safety glass for the kitchen. Corning sold the rights to this product, and for sale in America it is made in China from cheap, unbreakable soda-lime glass (the blue tint on the top distinguishes it from borosilicate glass). If you want safety glass in your kitchen, take PYREX (name in capital letters) from France, which is still borosilicate glass. Remarks. The open handles allow for stacking but are not long enough for a secure grip. Keep your thumb on top of the handle. If you don't fill it to the top, but pour it slowly and with coffee, the liquid will remain in the spout. If filled to the brim or poured out quickly, the contents will spill over the brim and make a mess.
