Great size for travel and comes in a set of 2! There’s a band to keep the book closed which maybe helps press wet pages back flat. There’s also a ribbon bookmark to easily find your place.The smooth pages face each other and the textured sides face each other so if your art spans across two, it’s on the same surface.As a beginner in watercolor, this met my needs for a notebook to try out different techniques and play. I don’t feel tied down by wanting to make every page "perfect” and can just explore on each page for practice.I’ll also try dry media. Perhaps one book for each since it did come in a set of two.
