Review on 🔧 Solenoid EP74855: Efficient 90-Degree Integrated Pull Down Mechanism by Jaleel Pruitt

As far as I know the warranty period for the sensor solenoid (under the sink and at the level of the feed line between the hand valve and the mixer outlet) is 5 years. Mine did it 6 years before failure. Even though the temp gauge was constantly blue (e.g. the battery is fine), the water didn't spin when the faucet was touched, clearly indicating the magnet was burned. After some research, this article turned out to be the best and closest replacement for X00074948 (6 years ago). I received this replacement part within 24 hours using Prime. Perfect fit, although you may need to squeeze the "short" clamp a little to ensure it makes firm contact with the metal fitting. Installation took about 5 minutes. Slightly pizzay. Faucet now works again when touched. The light indicates cold, warm or hot water. All is well. Remember that you can remove the solenoid while awaiting shipment and connect the two ends of the supply line together, after which the faucet will work manually.
