Installation Tips - Home Decor Products

After we removed thick carpeting in our rooms and replaced them with hardwood floors, we were left with 1/2 to 3/4 inch gaps under doors and cabinets. These seals offered a good solution to fill these gaps. However, the instructions that came with the seals were too short and required more work. Tip 1: Install with the door closed. When installing with the door open or ajar, the seal must not touch the floor when the door is closed. Tip 2: Avoid too much resistance on the door by placing 3 or 4 sheets of paper under the door as spacers during assembly. to raise the seal slightly to reduce drag. Tip 3: An exacto knife or razor blade was better than the recommended scissors for trimming the seal. Tip 4: It is very important to install the included thumb studs by tapping; Use 5 of these at regular intervals on the door and line them up horizontally so the heads are low enough to rest on the gaskets.
