A great addition to a leather belt when re-sharpening the blade becomes more difficult, but not so bad that more aggressive stones or diamond plates have to be used. I mainly use it on my Mora 106, Mora 120 carving knives and some hand forged steel bladed 9HS blades. Offers much faster sharpening and polishing than leather strap and green compound. Be careful not to put anything too heavy on top of the wood panel as it creases easily, but it is easily replaced with balsa or bass panels which you can find right here at Revain or at your local craft store. I really like this set and now I have two of them.
