There are SO many ways to buy an Arduino/clone, accessories and manuals. I quickly realized that there is nothing that makes this "set" better than any other. The textbook is a disappointment. It doesn't teach, it's copy and paste. The development board I received is rubbish. The holes don't match the actual connectors in the breadboard. I have to fish to get every wire in the hole. Any multi-wire component is a nightmare to plug into the board. The wires are bad too. The ends are serrated and covered in some sort of plastic that will peel off with use. I tried the potentiometer. The grip is so tight it's impossible to use. If you try to rotate it while it's connected to the breadboard, it just pops out. What about resistors? If you're trying to read the color bars, you need to know which side is which in order to know the correct meaning. Printing color bars sucks, so sometimes you won't recognize it. It's very disheartening to try to learn something new when the "textbooks" suck and the equipment is buggy. Arduino tutorials are a dime a dozen (unless they're 1/12th of a cent like these). Just search the internet. I also recommend trying a different set. You can't make it worse.
