Review on Superior Pump 99555: Versatile Universal Plastic Pump for Enhanced Performance by Ryan Olsen

We have 2 very good pumps which we use to pump water out of a few basements in our garden after heavy rain or melting snow. The check valve on one of them cracked and we were unable to get a replacement from the manufacturer. Husband ordered this check valve because it is "universal" but doesn't fit. It's a good valve, but it took some skill to get it working - exactly the same kind of manipulation we used to get the cracked valve working. If this valve fits on the pump it's a good valve, but it's impossible to tell if it will actually fit until it arrives and the customer tries to install it. Honestly it's more of a problem for the pump manufacturer who obviously uses a valve. It's not quite a standard size (if you can't supply a replacement) than this valve which should fit most pumps.
