I have a 1997 Mazda Protege DX with radio. I'm restoring it because it was my mother in law's car and she died about a year ago and I'm going to restore it and in the process giving to one of the kids I installed some hidden LED headlights with ballast after I did that I could almost only record a few radios when the lights were on due to all the noise. I was doing some research on ferrite and saw this product I just bought and when I installed it in series between the LED ballast in the headlights about 90% of the static was gone and I was able to collect my radios. bought more ferrites and installed them on my radio antenna as well as the wires coming out of my alternator and they seem to be pretty good at reducing the static noise you get on the radio in some cars when your turn signals are on and off turn off and so on, if you have a problem like this I think they are worth trying.
