I use this pump to transport and pressurize a 50 gallon water butt and water my yard. It took me about 20 minutes to swap out my 5 year old pump and add some new design features. Both ends of the pump are connected by a hose about 10 feet 3/4 inches long. The fittings came with the pump, so there is no leakage problem. I had previously emailed the seller and they suggested installing a filter on the pump inlet. to prevent large debris from entering, as sucking debris can damage the pump (I think my old pump was damaged because of this). The rubber gasket at the bottom of the pump is wider than the original gasket. less vibration than before, i can pretty much ignore it. My only complaint is that I wish I had metal threaded connections because plastic threads break easily if you screw too tight. I also connected a 20 foot sprinkler hose to the rain barrel. When I closed the sprinkler, the pressure switch automatically shut off power to the pump! It's amazing and I love it. I wanted to wash the car when the weather was nice but my 8 year old son seems to prefer playing with the dog!
