We used to have a tablet holder that we used for indoor cycling but it broke after about 6 months. This stand, although much more expensive, is built like a rock. It's heavy, so it won't fall; but it's also just plain solid in its construction. The mount is rigid, so adjusting the position requires some effort, but will hold that position even with a large tablet. The tablet clip feels solid, although it's plastic I'm not too concerned about it breaking like our last one. This stand is worth it for the extra cost.
