The build quality is fantastic, you can actually bend your arm forward and not feel like it's about to tip over when your expensive electronic device is strapped for the ride. We used to have a tablet holder that we used for indoor cycling but it broke after about 6 months. This stand, although much more expensive, is built like a rock. It's heavy, so it won't fall; but it's also just plain solid in its construction. The mount is rigid, so adjusting the position requires some effort, but will hold that position even with a large tablet. The tablet clip feels solid, although it's plastic I'm not too concerned about it breaking like our last one. This stand is worth it

There is nothing to complain about with this stand. It's stable, the gooseneck offers enough flexibility for viewing, and the swiveling tablet/phone mount is roomy enough to keep things secure. As some other reviewers have mentioned, when bending the boom back for individual consideration, the user must observe the laws of physics associated with an object's center of gravity: Don't bend it back too far when a heavy object is clamped. 10/27/2020 - Update: The company contacted me and offered a refund along with a newer model that was due for repair. the problems i had. So I've raised my rating from one star to three. I'll wait until the new one arrives and see how it behaves after a while. The first worked well for a few months, so I want to give the new model at least as much.
