Review on Dewalt C19 N268241 BELT HOOK by Ron Coleman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I call this clamp my third hand or holding hand

I have several tools with these clamps and I find them not essential but very useful. Where I stand on a ladder, cutting or drilling and then need my hands free to hold or peek without dropping the tool. Belt holsters are probably better and more reliable, I find them painful and useless in this case. I have this clip on my Dewalt dcs355 multi tool. There is one person who gave this tool a bad rating for not providing it (now how to make that person happy). Just to clarify, nowhere in the description of the tools does it say it includes a clamp, there is no picture with a clamp, I had no idea a clamp could be fitted so I took one off my drill to see, if it was possible and I ordered it. It works and for the most part you just need to provide your own screw. I happen to have one in my perforated jars, I just cut it off a bit at the end and it fits perfectly. I would suggest taking your screw to Lowes or HD and getting the next size up, if I did I would provide that info. Well if the kit said it would fit my model and the screw size is smaller I would give it fewer stars. Length matters, you don't want the exact thickness to be that great if you just need to hold it properly. For too long you will have trouble removing and installing the battery. Too short, better throw your tool on the floor after each use. I call this clip my third hand, or the hand holding the belt clip. I contacted DEWALT directly and nothing. I have contacted DEWALT service and have received at least the following information. The problem with attaching the belt clip, there is no nut for the belt clip, there is a slot for it, but that's it.1. Based on their records, this tool did not feature the belt clip pictured or described.2. The part number for the nut was not described or shown. I have a dcf813 and I removed the support nut from it and installed it and it fits perfectly. I examined the part and found it to be a 330015-00 M3x 0.5mm nut. I bought from my local nut and bolt store, there is a .15 US screw each and also a 1.5 inch screw for ease of installation. Hope that helps. In the picture I've attached, the nut is very small (5.37mm) or (0.21 inch). It takes 10 seconds to a minute if you have the part and a screwdriver.
