When I bought this I already knew my beard would eat it. He was never picky. I was surprised to find that he actually loves them more than the roaches themselves. I would put some live bugs in the bowl to motivate them to eat. He ate real bugs and only ate groats. As for my pleated dress, it needed some warming up. As a predator, it only eats moving objects. After mixing the bugs into the food, he also came to his senses when he realized it was food. I'm still trying to do a combo of live bugs and food, but it's a good option when we're out of town and have someone take care of them for us. It is much easier for our friends and family to feed them bits than live bugs. It's also fun to make little bearded dragon salads and toss them on top like croutons.
