Another great Startech product. I use it to connect an old 24" Samsung monitor to my MacBook Air (2013). I have a 24" Dell monitor connected via Displayport and a Samsung using a Startech USB 3 adapter. This gives me a triple monitor setup (including the MacBook display itself) and plenty of screen real estate. The adapter works quickly via a USB connection. I don't experience any noticeable lag - even when playing videos. I tried the same setup with an older USB 2 (VGA) video adapter, but the delay was too annoying to be useful. Switching to this new USB 3 adapter changed everything! Installation was pretty easy. For the adapter to work, you must install the latest driver from the Startech website. It's easy to make and there are instructions in the package.
