We wanted to replace the rear sunroof pillar legs on one of our visits to the dealership, ended up taking the car for an oil change and asked. They didn't stock any parts so while I waited in the customer area I searched Revain to see if I could order and install them myself. Dealer estimate was $220, but there they were about $200 off at the Revain. I ordered as soon as I got home from the dealer after finding a couple of YouTube videos that made the process easier. It was true! I spent more time cleaning up all the old dirt and accumulated debris around the top manhole cover than I did installing the struts. The instruction videos will show you how to fit the clips into the old ones. Just make sure the sunroof is raised to its maximum height before removing it. A small amount of lube in the socket holes of the new ones and with a slight push they popped up and have been working fine ever since. Don't worry, the screw adjustment length at the minimum unscrew point was fine, just there to line up the direction of the socket hole with the balls. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner after banging your head on the half-open hatch a few times. The support is just right for needs, the sunroof raises smoothly without too much pressure or bouncing.
