*UPDATE*: Husband still says these are his Fav Shorts - HOWEVER: There's velcro on the both sides of the waist, with a tab of material that attaches to adjust the fit. My husband hasn't had these that long, has worn them a lot though, and the flat part of the velcro attached to the waistband came undone. The one side peeled away completely, the other side began too. I sewed both strips back on. We'll see how long that holds b/c it looks like the velcro frayed and that's what caused it to pull away from the stitching. He says they velcro isn't really needed, but nevertheless I need to note what happened to that. I've attached a pic with the review. ALSO: The coloring on the buttons is scratching off. Not a big deal but needs to be noted.My husband really likes these shorts a lot. He's worn them just casual day to day and also on a camping trip. Wore them for a long day at a large theme park in Florida, very hot weather - these are super comfortable, lightweight. Wicked away sweat and moisture. Great for outdoors. Perfect length. Useful pockets, including two zipper compartments below the front pockets. He wore them for a 7 hour drive, very comfortable. These will def be one of his most worn shorts now, for sure.FIT: No need to size up if between sizes. Husband is 6'1" 210# athletic build. He wears shorts size L or XL, depending on style. He got these in size XL - he says he probably could have gotten a L. They fit well as XL, just a little bit of extra room.
