Review on Enhance Hood Lifting: Strongarm 6485 Hood Lift Support (1-Pack) by Aaron Schultz

Just what I need to keep the hood of my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee up and open. Installation was as simple as snapping it in place after I removed the broken part. It's extremely powerful (more than the original) and lifts the hood with ease. You'll probably only be able to pick it up with two fingers once you unlock it. I would recommend that you have a friend hold the hood during installation so you don't have to worry about the hood hitting you on the head. I also recommend cleaning and lubricating the attachment points.
