It's good when it works - but TiVo is a shame to bother with if you're having trouble. The concept is great. But the service they offer is even worse than the cable provider when you have a warranty issue. The process they want to follow is very time consuming and difficult to follow when trying to coordinate calls between the cable company and TiVo. I finally gave in and cut the cable when the cable company was convinced the problem was with the TiVo box and TiVo insisted there was a problem with my signal. After the cable company spent two hours at my house checking everything, I tend to agree with the cable company. but who knows exactly; TiVo didn't send me a new box because they claim their box needs a very strong signal because it's split into multiple signals in TiVo. Update: If you cancel your service, you will not be prorated for the unused portion of your subscription. In addition, it is very difficult to remove devices from your account if you want to sell your devices when you no longer need them.
