Review on 🔌 elago FireWire 400 to 800 Adapter in Black by Jaleel Pruitt

Ok, I use Windows, Linux and Mac. For different applications. And I want to continue using my beautiful Canon Vixia HV-30 MiniDV camera which is only 5 or 6 years old. That's new for me! I upgraded to a new Mac (that's my movie only and infotainment system) iMac 2.9 i5 and ran into a Mac backwards compatibility issue which was that it had NO FIRE WIRE PORTS at all. To put it mildly, I was skeptical. So I connected a Thunderbolt to the FW 800, then connected this little elago FW800 to 400 adapter and the old FW 400 cable to the camera. I had to "push it in" but it was fine.> BINGO!
