It's been about 5 months and all of a sudden it started disabling Wi-Fi for just SOME wireless devices. After just a few days, it turns off ALL wireless devices and the TP LINK app won't connect because the WiFi connection is down. Rebooting the router fixed the problem, but increasingly frequent resets (2-3 times a day) are required to fix the problem. Attempting to call customer service from the TP Link app. However, this number is international and my project service won't let me call it without changing my settings to apparently allow international calls. So I went online with my cell phone data and found the 1866 customer service number for the US 24/7 line and I tried to call tp-link 6 times in the last 8 hours to reach someone. to help resolve this issue or start the warranty claim process ONLY to keep the customer support hotline busy every time I tried to call. I have tried calling from my wife's phone as well as my phone, Android and Apple. I have emailed tp-link support asking for a call back but have not yet received a response from them. I checked that the firmware is up to date and I factory reset the device and set it up as new to see if that solved my issues. There are no dice. I have disabled some of my wireless devices to reduce the number of devices trying to connect at the same time and even after reducing the number of device connections by 50% the problem persists. Business my way and I won't give them a dime. Seriously disappointed and frustrated by TP - LINK. It was one of the best routers I've ever had, but if it dies in a few months and doesn't have product support, you can buy any Chinese knockoffs for $28 that offer similar performance at half the price. and if they only last 6 months then their shelf life/product lifespan is on par!
