Fire blankets for safety in the kitchen or to escape a house fire.
I haven't (fortunately) had a fire yet, so technically I haven't used them for their intended purpose. However, I have used them as fire blankets by "sweating" the copper pipes in my house walls and they have performed well as fire protection when using a propane lamp.
