I liked these potholders because of the nice color. I'm not a fan of mittens that you have to reach into, so I went for these. I was concerned about how thick they might be because some of the ones I've had in the past have been pretty thin and you couldn't keep something hot for very long without the heat going through it. Well, they're the same as the others, not very thick, and the heat dissipates pretty quickly. I would also say that after the first wash they shrunk an inch on top and at least half an inch on the sides (compared to one I haven't washed yet). If you want a medium product I would recommend it, but if you want something that retains heat better I would spend more and buy something thicker.
