Great phone for the home office!

This is the best home office speakerphone I have ever reviewed. I spend at least 5-6 hours a day using the speakerphone and this phone does the job perfectly. Microphone and speakerphone are excellent - digital duplex. People on the other end of the line can hear me with no problem. The speakerphone is as loud as you want. The phone appears to have almost improved the quality of the original phone line. I've searched multiple phones over the past three months. Starting with standard corded RCA, AT&T and Panasonic phones. AT&T had the best speakerphone, but people on the other line could hear me muting and unmuting the phone. Panasonics were fine, while RCA was a piece of junk, even their so-called digital duplex model. I also appreciate Panasonic's cordless DECT phones. You were decent. Then I evaluated business class phones from Panasonic and Meridian/Nortel/Aastra. Each had their own shortcomings. My main criterion was being able to use the hands-free system and being sure that the person I was talking to could hear me well. Polycom has succeeded in doing this; is approaching its business-class IP products. The model has a few flaws which is why it gets four stars: 1. No LCD backlight - although it's still legible2. Key sounds are really LOUD and cannot be muted3. Speed dial can only handle 20 digits and therefore cannot be used for serial dialing or calling card dialing4. There is no easy way to find missed calls. Despite these shortcomings, if you need quality speakerphone and call quality, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this model.
