UPDATED! I'll update the review after purchasing another Fire tablet. The first tablet I bought was the Fire HD10 and I followed the instructions as per the graphics provided. The card slipped easily into the slot. After all, the instructions told me that the notches on the card should face down. Then I bought a Fire HD 8 (7th gen). I inserted the card exactly as I did with my Fire HD10, as instructed in the instructions. That does not work! I couldn't force the card into the slot the rest of my life. I tried about 3 times when I thought to turn the map upside down. Although the instructions say the notches are down and the label is facing me, I chose to turn it over. VOILA! The card is in the slot! Instructions are NOT CORRECT for HD8! You should have notches. Both tablets have a slight spring when the card is inserted. To eject, press the card lightly with your fingernail and it should pop out just far enough for you to pull out. This card works very well with the Fire tablet. At first I thought any micro SD card would work, but others seem to lag when removed from the card. I have no problem delaying this. Works the same as the internal storage. My music is stored on this card and the songs play smoothly. If you have a Fire tablet, get the one designed for it! Remember that inserting the card depends on your Fire tablet! I bought it for the Fire HD10. I had CD music stored on my computer and transferred it to it using a memory card reader. I suggest you at least get an adapter to turn it into an SD card for use with your computer OR a memory card reader that supports many card shapes is best. This simplifies and speeds up file transfer, deleting or formatting files. So far I haven't had any issues with a Fire tablet or my computer.
