Review on Pohl Schmitt Mechanical/Digital Food Kitchen Scale - Multi-Transducer Precision Scale with Auto Shut-Off (Batt. Incl.), Black by Melissa Tucker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Scale is very inaccurate

This scale is so inaccurate that it is practically unusable. I had problems with zeroing the scale from the start. After pressing the tare button, the scale initially read zero, then the digital reading changed from minus 3.5 to plus 3. Also, I continued to get inconsistent readings when measuring flour, fruit, and other products that could vary widely. like 40 grams between measurements. This is a big mistake that can ruin the recipe. In the end I received a 50 gram calibration weight and measured several times, some of them in the attached photos. Measurements ranged from 29.5 grams to 38 grams. I also tried placing the kettlebell in the bowl and setting it on the scale to make sure the weight was evenly distributed. The actual total weight of the bowl and the calibration weight was 106 grams. The actual measurement on this scale varied between 68 grams and 79.5 grams. So this scale fails miserably for accuracy. I'll just throw it away as it's useless. Recommendation: do not buy.
