At only 100 watts they generate more heat than I expected. I've used it to replace a 200 watt incandescent light bulb and it still seems to work. Not that hot but for the price it works better than expected. They retailed for about $6 for a 2-pack, so I wasn't expecting too much. I thought the power rating was overrated or it would break, but so far so good. Only used for about a day so not sure how long it will burn through but since they are so great I ordered extra.
