Review on Drill Adapter Hexagon Shank Backer Cutting Tools by David Fields
Good idea, but one could be more careful with the production.
These will not fit 5/8-11 threads. I have locksmith tools. When tested, the outside diameter was 0.627 inches. With both adapters, I installed them in a VSR drill press and carefully sharpened the thread ridges and the flanks near the ridges. Now both work perfectly. I like that the shank has a hex shape that prevents slipping in the chuck. Good idea but acceptable quality.
