This cleaner works great on carpet stains and dirt, BUT! 3 days after shampooing and it's hard to dry completely, my whole house smells like someone dumped 4 gallons of ammonia in the house and it's too big to make your eyes water and your nose sting. The active ingredient in this ethylenediamine has a strong smell of ammonia (just looked it up before posting this, so didn't know until after I bought it). It's not easy to get rid of without rewashing the carpets, which I'm doing now. Can't recommend anyone for home use. And whatever you do, read the active ingredients first.
