I got this because my old T430 didn't have a microphone jack. It is compatible with my Debian 9 system without installing additional drivers. The audio out and in jacks work great with my set of speakers and microphone. It took me a few minutes to figure out (1) I had to use the control panel to switch from the default audio device to this one, and (2) my speaker had to be connected to the first audio output and not the second for some reason, but after that I had no more problems. The luminous volume control is very convenient. I haven't tried the equalizer function or other buttons yet. My only complaint would be that USB 3.0 would be preferred over 2.0.
