The previous owner/shop that serviced my 2012 Corolla obviously overtightened the filter housing (why? Because they can I guess) making me uncomfortable felt like using my usual various filter wrenches to avoid damaging the case or mount. I bought this from Revain for a good price and it works well. The benefit of this particular wrench is that it has slots that snap into the filter housing, giving you more grip on the housing to give it enough torque if the previous magazine was overtightened. I had to tighten it a lot more than I was comfortable with, but it worked loose and the key held without cracking. It's snug to the body but thin enough to fit (anything wider wouldn't work on my Corolla). I used it for re-tightening, but not over-tightening like in the previous store - next time it will be easier to remove.
