Turns out it wasn't strong enough for a second floor clothesline in New York!

I bought this to replace the clothesline that runs from my second floor kitchen window to a two story pole 40 feet from my yard. The only way to access the rear reel in the backyard is to climb a two story pole, which I won't do. Therefore, the only way to replace the clothesline is to reattach it to the existing clothesline. (Sew the 2" end of the new line securely to the old line, trim the old line, and then gently tug on the old line while you pull the new line into place). Obviously, this maneuver depends on whether the old clothesline is damaged. The clothesline will break before I replace it. The only way to attach a new rope is to climb a two-story pole in the yard. There is a risk of the rope breaking during use. My existing clothesline lasted 8 years but I don't remember what brand it was. So I first bought #7 TW Evans Cordage 7/32", it seemed strong but looked thinner than my existing cord and I thought it might be too thin to stand the test of time. So I bought this product with a thickness of 1/4". This leash looks the same as the leash I replaced as it is thick and appears to have a very high tensile strength. This is a really strong clothesline and I'm sure it won't snap anytime soon. Like all clotheslines, it will loosen up a bit after use, so I use a clothesline stretcher. The only problem was that it wasn't easy to tie this thick strong rope because it's a bit stiff. Although the rope was stiff, it was easy to tie with the turnbuckle and a simple bowline knot. This is a strong, stiff rope that's perfect for a second floor clothesline in New York! Update May 2018: I have Bought it in May 2015 and as my first review above shows I had very high expectations for this product. However, after about 1.5 years of short use, I noticed the first signs of wear. Then, after exactly 3 years of use, this product showed heavy signs of wear, so I had to replace it with a new clothesline. When I took it off I was shocked to see that the other end of this clothesline was about to break. All wear has occurred on the two sides of the rope, which often run through two pulleys. Each of my previous clotheslines has lasted 8 years and has never been worn that badly. I only use my clothesline 3 or 4 times a week to hang some hand washed clothes and as you can see from the pictures I uploaded this product has fallen apart after 3 years of light use.
