If you want the base with 3m paper don't buy it, it will peel off within the first three weeks and everything will fall off. The part that holds the phone isn't well made either. It has a plate on the back, but it slides out very easily, so you have to position it correctly and turn it strategically or it will fall off. I hit a serious pothole and dropped the phone, simple as that. It's ok, I like that you can extend it. I wouldn't buy it again, but I'm not crazy about $14. This is a normal item.
