I used a suction cup to place the device in my Wrangler's dashboard tray. I took the rubber insert out of my tray and the suction cup has held up since day one. The claw keeps my iPhone 8 secure whether I'm extending my arm or adjusting it to record a ride. I'm actually surprised I haven't broken this yet, but it has endured a fair amount of use, taking my phone in and out multiple times a day and enjoying tweaking the settings from time to time. I would buy another one if this one broke.

If you want the base with 3m paper don't buy it, it will peel off within the first three weeks and everything will fall off. The part that holds the phone isn't well made either. It has a plate on the back, but it slides out very easily, so you have to position it correctly and turn it strategically or it will fall off. On my 2012 Honda Pilot on the passenger side of the radio display there was a good spot to mount it. initially good adhesion and good absorption. was alive but it came loose when I hit it when I had to get in and out on the passenger side. I have ordered three of these phone holders for three different cars. The first was used with the iPhone XMax with a moderate body. The phone did not stay in one place and continued to bend down. This product is not suitable if you live in an area where the temperature rises above 80F. The part sticking to the window is fine. If you stretch out your hand, it will bounce too much. As soon as heat gets on the product, it becomes unusable. The bullet does not pierce the phone in a vertical position and simply sinks to the ground.
