I thought it would be a good idea to make a page textured to make evacuation easier. I've just received a used one touch vacuum sealer where the heat sealer is automatically activated by a vacuum switch that only turns it on when enough vacuum is achieved. I have found that if I follow the machine instructions and cut a piece off the roll it is not possible to seal the first edge as the embossed texture allows air to flow through the bag so the vacuum is never enough to seal the bag Bag turn on seal. However, the workaround is to seal the first edge BEFORE you cut the bag off the roll, then put groceries or whatever, then seal the last edge. My machine delivers a powerful vacuum and the embossed texture really allows all the air to be removed before the bag is heat sealed. I suspect some machines have a separate way to directly activate the sealant. This is my first machine, bought at a flea market MKT. for 5 dollars.
