I have used these lights to accent my outdoor railings and am tempted to leave them on year round. I used zip ties to attach them to the railing. Batteries last amazingly long. I only had to change them once and they went up in price in early December. Each of these flashlights requires three double batteries. I love light patterns and have kept them in combinations. I wish there was a way to sync them so that they both switch between lighting modes at the same time. But still they were pretty cute. The lights didn't have a timer which was a little annoying but they did have a remote control which was nice and made it easy to turn them on from my entryway. You just have to make sure that the remote control is pointed at the battery. I also noticed that this remote turned on my other remote controlled LED lights, which was nice when only one controller needed to be used. I highly recommend these lights. They do well even in the rain. The packages are sealed. I live in Seattle and it has only rained for the last month in a row. They still work perfectly! They are great accent lights for dinner parties, to accent decks, to illuminate an entertainment center or a dark home office. You can use them anywhere, anytime!
