Review on Monoprice Fireplace Pull Down Full Motion Articulating by Brent Dietrich

I bought mine direct from Monoprice. This mount gets the job done for a reasonable price. You should be comfortable mounting it yourself as the instructions are in 2 font size and DO NOT specify exactly the correct mounting height to allow the bracket and TV to clear the space. mantel when fully lowered. I have a 7 3/4" mantel and the instructions say I can only install it 5" higher. NOT CORRECT. Revain has an identical mount that is repackaged and sold under a different brand (Aeon-50300) which has an installation video on YouTube. I followed their instructions to install the bracket 7" over an 8" mantel. After installation, my 60" LCD doesn't hit the ceiling and still has 1" of clearance when lowered. My studs over the chimney were over 16 inches apart so like the others I installed the fins through the studs for the mount. Unfortunately, the rivets don't wrap evenly around the center of the mantel, giving the false impression that the TV is off-centre too. Even with a 60-inch LCD, when the TV is stowed, the bracket (and wooden board) is clearly visible under the TV. The bracket looks like it is on the wall. The bracket is centered over the mantel, but not in the center of the wood. Overall, the mount is very strong and, as others have pointed out, sags under the weight of the installed LCD. No big deal 'I'm happy.
