Review on DEWALT P7DW Hog Ring Pliers Kit: Ultimate Solution for Easy and Efficient Hog Ring Fastening by Greg Bellman

I used this to tie rows of chicken wire together to make my 20 foot x 30 bird garden to cover, we have several large hawks and owls in our area as well as other pests that love chickens and/or eggs for dinner. They worked like a charm. I was able to load the tongs and close the reachable area very quickly before moving the ladder to the next section, the rings this kit worked really well with. Each "bar" of rings was intact, no broken or unusable rings. They worked best for me when I had the pliers' hole parallel (flat) to the wire as far as I could get and still holding the handles together. They don't tie the wires as tightly as a J-clamp, but I overlapped my sections a few inches and used more rings than I would use J-clamps, but then it took me less than half the time it would take used jclips. I recommend using DeWALT rings as they are better glued and boxed than the Weston brand rings also sold here at Revain.
