Maybe useful junk - parts

Ordered nervously based on reviews. After using it, I can't help but agree. That being said, there is a way to make this tool somewhat useful. I welded two small plates along the threads of the bolt, and then drilled and tapped for a slightly larger fine-threaded bolt, right in the middle of the bracket. The nut is now held securely and straight in the jig - I mainly use it for drilling brass and aluminum caps and AN (plain) hardware. On STEEL I would just drill a few 16 holes either side of the nut and finish on a workbench (without using a jig). This means that the lamp wears out over years, not weeks. The same goes for the bolt tool. Small bites clean the drill and then finish it by hand or on a power drill. Think of it this way: The jig shows where the holes go, but it's not designed for continuous drilling, and it's actually better than nothing for drilling race car safety wires. aluminum fittings.
