I used this on a custom freight lift in my garage. He's been reliable but I don't think he'll move anywhere near £1000. Maybe 500 max if you don't use it for 4 seconds. Otherwise it will overheat and the overload button will work. I understand that the estimate is probably for the pull and not the lift, but there shouldn't be that much of a discrepancy in my opinion. If you use it to lift or pull 200 or 300 pounds on a regular basis, it will work.
