WOW - it's pretty close to high end like Polychromos (artist point of view)

I have worked as an artist with some of the best colored pencils . Each brand and level of colored pencils has its own advantages and usefulness, as well as disadvantages. Usually crayons from brands I haven't heard of are good for hobby and some work, but I prefer professional grade pens for artists. This set comes pretty close. BODY The body is really nice metal with a hinged lid. The trays inside are a bit sturdier than some of the sets I've had, but I always put my pens away and put them in book-like cases. They're more accessible when I'm sitting in my chair and drawing. It takes a lot of table space to get the trays out of the box and I don't always have that. PENCILS These pencils remind me VERY much of multicolored pencils. In fact, they are very similar. Some colors printed side by side on paper look exactly the same. The pens themselves look very similar. I have to be careful not to mix them up while I'm working. FEATURES These pencils are smooth as butter. The colors are beautiful and the color rendering is fantastic. With these pens I can easily achieve a light layer or overlay of color without much bleeding or haze. The main thing is not to press hard on each layer. BLENDING These pencils blend very well. In my sample mixing tests, I used many layers. I have a quick photo of some of these quick mix samples. There are many layers on these samples and one cannot tell. Usually with so many coats, they get shiny or look really spotty. It's not like this. PERFORMANCE IN ART I would say they are VERY close to Polychromos in performance and not far off Caran D'Ache Pablo or some of their other high quality pencils. WHO WILL LIKE THIS? For an artist who is on a budget but really wants to work with professional quality pencils, this would be a good choice. I would also like to say that if you are learning about crayons and really want to draw with them, this would be a great set to start with. The price is much cheaper compared to some high-end brands and the performance is close. RESULT These pencils are a good price for a set that works close to high end pencils like Polychromos and some Caran D'Ache and a few other brands. The performance is way better than I expected and I would highly recommend it even if you are into a hobby like greeting cards and want your work to be of a higher quality. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. I would definitely buy them again. They are fun to work with and I am very happy that I was able to try them. I also tested their watercolor pencils and they are of decent quality too, on par with some of the best watercolor pencils out there. PHOTOSI has posted some photos for you. The first is pencils in a case with patterns underneath. The second photo is a comparison of Polychromos with Nioni. The third is an example of some of the layered mix samples I've done.
