Review on πŸ”ͺ Tormek Leather Compound Sharpening Grinders by Darryl Jennings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A little goes a long way and it worked better than I expected.

This really exceeded my expectations. I use it in a leather belt on a tabletop. I liked it so much I would have sharpened or polished almost any blade in the house. If it starts to stick together and gets dirty, just scrape it off, add some more and smooth it down. It seemed the more I used it the better it worked. Will definitely buy again and will probably buy a few as gifts for my friends and family who sharpen knives. I've noticed that the price fluctuates by about a dollar up or down from time to time. But either way, it seems worth the asking price so far. I haven't used it on the steering wheel yet. I may have to find one or make one to use. I was concerned it might have a strong odor like some metal polishes, but it has a very light scent that doesn't seem to linger once dry. Not sure how this compares to other honing or polishing materials as I am new to this.

Pros
  • 3 Macron abrasives (6000-8000 grit) for honing, buffing and polishing
Cons
  • Wrinkled
