Review on 🚲 Retro 1999 BMX Brake Set & Lever: Perfect Vintage Upgrade for BMX Enthusiasts by Kyle Wesener

I purchased this product because I needed a very long reach caliper kit for a 20" Electra Mini Rod kids bike. I measured the required range as 85mm from the center of the mounting hole to the center of the rim edge. This caliper fits with the pads all the way down into the mounting slots, so I am surprised at the manufacturer's specification of a maximum range of 95mm. Maybe if you ground the slots, but I don't think there's another 10mm of material that can be removed. The lever is pretty good, but it's meant to be used as a right lever. shouldn't look pretty. The supplied end caps or cable lugs are glued/crimped to the cable body. So if you need to trim the body to shorten it, you will need to provide your own end cap.
