It works great but is useless if you are not already registered as a chip provider. It is easy to use and quickly locates chips and displays chip numbers. You can then take the chip number, search online for the brand of chip, and call the chip company. But they don't share information from the chip with members of the public, so it doesn't help when you're looking for the owner of a lost pet. A veterinarian or animal shelter set up as a chip supplier should receive this information. While the scanner works great it didn't live up to my expectations and I will probably give it to an animal shelter.
