I know it's pretty stupid to worry about something like this, but this tool saved me my slow work completely. I found it very difficult to compress the rear piston so I could put the caliper back on the rotor with the new pads. It just didn't work. But my colleagues on the Acura forums told me before we got that. So when we couldn't compress the piston enough with the tools we had, we used that and it worked incredibly well. It attaches to the end of the ratchet extension. Then line it up with the lugs on the piston, use the ratchet as usual, and the piston breaks. If I didn't have this tool, not only would I not be able to complete the job with the new brakes, but I wouldn't be able to put the caliper back on the old parts because it wasn't compressed enough. So basically I'm not sure what I would do without this tool. It was the best money I've spent on something so obscure but so important.
