Very important! Best in Brake System

The fact that it was so cheap, worked great and is still in perfect condition makes this product worth the money. Even if you could only use it once, it would be worth the effort. I think. The metal from which this tool is made is definitely capable of many tasks. I think if you're not careful it might break. If you need to apply enough force to this tool to break it. Well, your calipers are to blame. They were used on a 2008 Honda Accord coupe with no problems.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • old

works, but could be better

This tool did the job, but it has problems. I used this tool on 2014 Ford Flex rear brake calipers. It grabs the notches in the piston but doesn't stay in the center of the piston and keeps popping out. It took about 20 minutes for the plunger to fully engage. I think you are better off buying a more expensive tool that stays in the center of the piston. The extra $15 for the belt tool would have been worth the degradation and the time spent getting it to work.

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • Some little things

Works well as a general purpose tool for various rear disc brake applications, in my case a Chevrolet HHR Super Sport. This is a 3/8" drive for turning the disc brake piston easily. Required on new vehicles without a shoe drum in the rotor such as older Chevrolet Corvette Stingrays. Decent quality associated with Lisle gauges but made in China is manufactured, for those who, like me, want to know the origin of the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • A few little things

Worked on a 2016 Mazda 3 2.5 (Japanese)

Job done. I used the side of the cube with 4 notches on each corner. Simply attach to a 3/8" ratchet with extension, insert this cube into the notches of the caliper piston, then turn clockwise while pushing. It took me a minute to figure out that it worked and then gave it a full bean, but when I did it worked perfectly. Again, no tools are required other than a 3/8" ratchet with extension - I think I used an 8" extension, but anything over 4" should be fine to give you room to move the…

Worked well on a 2012 Accord read Brake Pistons

Worked well on my 2012 Accord rear brake pistons. The 4 prong side worked best since the plunger has 4 slots - it doesn't fit "perfectly" or snap into place, but if you keep it centered and apply some inward force when turning the ratchet, it works fine. . Once the piston moves a little, it will be easier to turn. I cleaned the piston with brake cleaner (and a fiber brush - not metal) to remove some dirt and corrosion before compressing the piston. It took less than 1 minute to squeeze each…

THIS IS WHAT I NEED!

I used a caliper puller on the rear pistons and couldn't pull the rear caliper pistons all the way back. I've tried almost everything including removing the plunger and dust cover to check for possible damage. It appeared they weren't there, but the retraction tool still wasn't doing the job and the rod was bent. After giving up a few times I was about to give up and started looking for new rear calipers when I decided to check out this little tool. I read the comments and decided to follow the

Incredibly helpful, helped me get a job done that I couldn't do without.

I know it's pretty stupid to worry about something like this, but this tool saved me my slow work completely. I found it very difficult to compress the rear piston so I could put the caliper back on the rotor with the new pads. It just didn't work. But my colleagues on the Acura forums told me before we got that. So when we couldn't compress the piston enough with the tools we had, we used that and it worked incredibly well. It attaches to the end of the ratchet extension. Then line it up with…
