I can't comment on how effectively these anchors handle bolt and bearing loads. But they are perfect for .22 shot/long/long rifle rimfire rifles. The .22 gauge plastic snap caps made by companies like Tipton are expensive and brittle, breaking almost instantly. Aluminum bolts from companies like Pachmayer are too hard and can damage the firing pin and other internal components of the rifle. While they don't cycle/feed out of the magazine (at least not in my Henry rig), Hillman's 4-6-8x7/8 Ribbed Plastic Anchors are perfect for chambering .22 caliber rifles and are made of flexible plastic that's shock-absorbent . Your striker and protects the face of the chamber. The extractor/ejector on my Henrys pulls bolts out of the chamber and ejects them when I repeat them with no problem. I noticed that after 2-3 shots the anchor rim deformed noticeably. I usually throw out the anchor and rotate it a bit in the chamber to expose a new section of rim for the firing pin. I can usually take 12 to 15 shots of an anchor. Doesn't sound like much, but a slow, concentrated blank fire will only get you through an anchor or two.
