Review on Sony SAL18135 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens" - Enhanced SEO: Sony SAL18135 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens by Lauren Salvage

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent - should be around 4.7 stars

This lens is almost a 5 star rating for everything but professional landscape shots on full frame cameras. I was lucky enough to get a good used copy from Revain. It's as sharp as the best of them in the center and sides (landscape camera) of the picture. Only the corners have become a little softer when "pixeling" at 100% zoom, but you never notice this in normal use. It focuses much faster and easier than my Sony Zeiss 16-80Z lens or the Sony 55-210 E-mount lens I had (and returned). Colors and contrast are excellent. It doesn't have internal image stabilization, but that's not a major limitation unless you feel the need to hold the lens in your hands at shutter speeds "slower than the focal length". At shutter speeds equal to the focal length (e.g. 100mm focal length, 1/100 second) I can hold this lens in my hands and reliably capture sharp images. I'll be 80 in a few weeks, so if I can hold it, so can you. Highly recommended.
