I wanted to save some money so decided to try these 1.5mm bags after running out of the 3mm build bags. These bags are 55 gallons. gigantic. I filled one with bush clippings and grass clippings, as well as ash that had accumulated along my curb from trimming. Holds up well. Be careful not to be fooled by the photos though as I assumed they had built in locking flaps like my other build bags. Sorry, you need to squeeze the bag tightly and tie tightly with opposite "ends" of the bags. It's okay, but I would prefer that kind of comfort. I'll let you know if I have any issues with other garden waste, but I don't see that they don't contain heavier materials, but sharp or jagged objects can be a problem. At 50 bags for the price I can find plenty of use for them. If you need heavy duty, choose the 3 mil option.
